In Parklife III Mitchell adorns traditional photographs with contradictory imagery, to play with our perceptions of the Geisha lifestyle and to highlight the differences and similarities between Japanese and European culture. In this piece, three Geishas are out for the day, but their usual clogs have been replaced by roller skates, and theyāve bought a Boom Box along for the ride.
