This piece is from Ghost Town - Haus of Lucy’s 2023 show at Enter Gallery. The show explores the death of the high street, and its knock-on effects on our sense of community and connection.
For the show, Lucy transformed vintage ceramic shopfronts, cottages, biscuit barrels and teapots to provide a more modern take on the type of businesses that now populate our central thoroughfares.
No high street would be complete without a phone box that hasn’t been working for years…and one of Ghost Town’s residents has paid this one a visit after one too many down All Bar One.
This hand-finished original piece is created from a repurposed souvenir shop telephone box, polymer clay, acrylic paint, varnish, and photographic paper. It comes signed by the artist.
