Pop Goes Brighton

Dirty Hans is a self-taught painter and illustrator with a passion for Pop culture. His work is known for its mash-up of cultural references, creating vibrant visual landscapes with a life of their own.

Brighton beach stretches out in layers of golden pebble, blue sea, and clouded sky. Capturing the spirit of the seaside city, Dirty Hans fills the print with Brighton references: the cast of Quadrophenia line up on Vespas; Punch and Judy shows, deck chairs, and donkeys decorate the shoreline; while the Palace Pier plays host to Seagulls football slogans, rainbow flags, and weekending merrymakers.
