In these foil block prints, Obey dissects the familiar 'Stars and Stripes' of the American flag. Using a palette of red and gold, the artist has rearranged these iconic symbols into a graphic composition with an Eastern twist: stripes become a diamond, the star becomes Fairey's signature Andre the Giant face, and a lotus leaf design is gently superimposed over the whole image.
