Primrose One
Jayson Lilley is best known for his love of London: glorious limited edition prints depict the capital in saturated shades of colour and thick panels of glistening gold leaf.
His One series sees scenes from the urban centre transposed onto a vintage £1 note. For Primrose One, Lilley lays out the view from North Londons Primrose Hill in a sepia strip along the bottom of the note. Thick-set trees give way to the towering skyline, where the Shard, the BT Tower, and the London Eye dominate the horizon, beneath the Queens currency portrait. A celebration of Britain and its cosmopolitan capital, 'Primrose One is a charm of collectible contemporary art.
