This print is from Pure Evil’s famous Nightmare series, which depicts celebrities crying as an ‘illustration of the heartbreak and sadness we’ve all experienced in relationships in the past.’

The piece features Prince – or ‘The Purple One’, as he was sometimes called. Fittingly, he is showcased here in all his purple glory, immortalising not only his nickname, but arguably his biggest hit.

Gone before his time, Pure Evil’s signature teardrop expresses the collective devastation of Prince’s fans at his untimely death.
