Prismatic Labyrinth (102 U)
This piece is one in a series of three prints inspired by Marc Quinn's Labyrinth paintings and sculptures, which he began in 2011. The collection focuses on the unique patterns of human fingerprints and their role in our super-surveillance culture as the key to our identity.
The Labyrinth series is further proof of Quinn's fascination with the human body, and of creating portraits of people that go way beyond just images of the subject. Other examples include his Iris works, his infamous Self piece, which involved him casting a sculpture of his head in his own blood, and his DNA series, featuring images of his subjects' DNA.
This digital print with screen-printed spot glaze is from a limited edition of 60, and is signed and numbered by Quinn.
Size (cm): 50 x 70
