This piece is from Mitchell’s Fourth Wall series, in which he creates new narratives by juxtaposing vintage postcards with black and white film stills from classic B-movies of the fifties and sixties.
In Reception Room Showdown, Mitchell expertly combines his movie still and vintage postcard to relocate a classic Western-style shoot-out to a new setting in a typical Japanese reception room.
