Inspired by the old masters but far from traditional, Chris Kettle is a fine artist who paints obscure objects in odd arrangements to create what he calls a ‘New Still Life’.

This is one of a series Kettle has created in homage to French painter, Henri Fantin-Latour – known for his impressionist portraits of flowers. The artwork is a prime example of Kettle’s work, in which he endeavours to portray elements of human emotion using inanimate subject matter.
