Selene Goddess of the Moon
Gazing at Sarah Arnett's art is like stepping into a daydream. Each of her flamboyant artworks is created in homage to her passion for the exotic, and her formative years spent living and travelling in tropical climes.
Selene pulls the moon across the sky every night, her chariot often described as being drawn by two majestic horses. In my version she is accompanied by two magical peacocks. Her arrival marked the beginning of each night. This nightly journey illuminated the world with the soft, silver glow of the moon. Always being followed by her sister the sun.
Hand-drawn and enriched with layered painted textures, Liccio has a richly tactile surface that gives it a sculptural, almost kinetic energy.
Available in A1 and A2 sizes, this giclée print comes from a limited edition of 60, each hand-signed by the artist. All prints come with touches of silver leaf and diamond dust.
