‘Selfie with Political Causes’ is a limited edition of 68 etching in Perry’s unique aesthetic of clashing, saturated colours and flat, juvenile perspective.

The selfie shows Perry as his alter-ego Clare in full hair, make up and dress embellished with ‘peace’ riding a Harley Davidson emblazoned with the words ‘Social Justice’, ‘Equality’ and ‘Identity’ in blood red.

Fuelled by racism, sexism and poverty the exhaust expels democracy, free-speech and tolerance whilst smashing homophobia and trampling tax evasion. A highly political piece, as the title suggests, Perry describes ‘Selfie with Political Causes’ as “A reaction to the way that politics has become very fashionable in art.”
