Mitchell reworks found objects using photography, collage and print to explore the relationship between East and West. This piece is from his Fourth Wall series, in which he creates new narratives by juxtaposing vintage postcards with black and white film stills from classic B-movies of the fifties and sixties.
In Sons of Reno, Mitchell expertly combines his movie still and vintage postcard to create a scene that makes it look like the couple are walking from the countryside into the city of Reno.
This artwork is a timed release. This means that the print will only be available for the duration of the Art Yard Sale ONLINE, and that the size of the limited edition will be determined by the amount of people who purchase the piece during this period.
This pigment print is hand-finished with gold leaf and varnish, and comes signed and numbered by the artist.
