Jayson Lilley's love of urban architecture shines through his work, and reminds us of the beauty to be found in the urban environment when we choose to notice it. Using his innovative printmaking practice, which combines silkscreen with painting and collage techniques, the artist recreates iconic views and buildings of London and New York, playing with colour and perspective in the process.
St Paul's One is a hand-pulled screenprint with gold leaf, printed onto a one-pound note from the 1980s. The piece depicts a view of London's St Paul's Cathedral, and the city that surrounds it.
