T is for The Beatles

This silkscreen print is from Peter Blake's 1991 Alphabet Series, which is inspired by people and objects who have made their mark on British popular culture.

Widely considered to be one of his finest series of work, the collection epitomises Blake's signature style, namely the use of "found' imagery sourced from magazines, postcards and other popular ephemera.

In T for The Beatles, Blake has featured two photographs of each member of the band, one from their early days, and one from the late sixties, contrasting the young whippersnappers with the experienced artists who became the biggest band in the world. Blake frames the image in a colourful and classic pop-art style.

From a limited edition of 95, the print is signed by the artist.
