Temple of the Way of Light was created for Hillier's 2016 solo exhibition, Ceremony. The show, which was held at the Saatchi Gallery, focused on symbolism and sacred imagery and explored themes of mystery, wonder and connection.
The piece is named after the healing centre in the Peruvian Amazon, where Hillier first encountered the visionary shamanic plant brew, ayahuasca.
