This phenomenal sculpture has been made from a solid block of Portoro marble. It is decorated with 22ct gold-plated bronze which the artist hand-chiselled in Florence.
At once both beautiful and sinister, the piece juxtaposes the splendour of the marble and gold against the danger of the grenade and the serpent that guards it.
