The Beast Queen

Via his art, Spanish-born artist, Ramon Maiden, pays tribute to historical figures and forgotten members of society, including women, criminals, wand people of the underworld.

Maiden sources illustrations from vintage postcards and calendars, and transforms his subjects into fully-tattooed characters, using just his ballpoint pen.

For Beast Queen, Maiden has taken a traditional pin-up girl created by Peruvian painter, Alberto Vargas, and given her a modern look, with all-over body ink.
