This piece hails from Blake’s 2011 Homage to Damien Hirst collection, in which he celebrates his ā€˜friend and inspiration’, and Hirst’s love of using butterflies in his work.

The Butterfly Man, inspired by Hirst, is a motif seen in several of Blake’s portfolios, including hisĀ Venice Suite and Paris Suite. Here, Blake takes his Butterfly Man on a trip to the seaside, where a group of collaged promenaders are enjoying Eastbourne’s vintage charm.Ā
