Contemporary British artist Bonnie and Clyde is known for her unique approach to collage, which incorporates self-taken photographs from around the world with panels of paint, pattern and torn paper.

Under a Hot Dusty Sky is a beautiful example of Bonnie and Clyde's otherworldly vistas that are rich in warmth and pure escapism. The piece features a number of motifs that recur in her work, including architecture, palm trees, and swimming pools. She explains:

"Water brings an element of escapism, but there's more to it than that. Growing up, my Grandmother looked after us for a few years, and she swam every day. Water evokes fond memories for me. My affection for her is in the water.'
