Under a Hot Dusty Sky combines a number of motifs seen across the artist’s oeuvre, including architecture, greenery, swathes of blue sky and swimming pools. Speaking of her inclusion of water, she explains:
‘Water brings an element of escapism, but there’s more to it than that. Growing up, my Grandmother looked after us for a few years, and she swam every day. Water evokes fond memories for me. My affection for her is in the water.’
This is a giclee print with silkscreen gloss on Somerset velvet paper with hand torn edges. From a limited edition of 60, the artwork comes signed and numbered by the artist.
