Utopia, Delirium, Infatuation, Set of 9
Utopia, Delirium, Infatuation is a set of nine prints from contemporary artist, Dan Baldwin, created in homage to Andy Warhol's iconic flower paintings from the 1960's.
Baldwin has recreated Warhol's pieces in his own edgy style by introducing common motifs from his work, including the swallow, skeletal hand and barbed wire. All suggest a multi-layered set of tensions between symbols of freedom, imprisonment, mortality and hope.
Baldwin made these silkscreen editions by drawing directly onto True Grain - a unique, high-quality drafting film used to produce images for exposure onto silkscreens.
This set of prints is from a limited edition of 20, signed by the artist.
