Venus in Mars
Giclée print of 35 on 300gsm archival paper with hand applied Mars red lipstick sheen.
A playful take on one of the oldest sculptural depictions of the human form ever discovered. The ‘Venus of Willendorf’ is a 30,000 year old Stone Age sculpture, and a wonderfully shapely symbol of fecundity and fertility. Nobody will ever know the full meaning and importance of the Venus sculptures, but I like to think they represent a healthy and harmonious Mother Earth - a celebration of abundance and beauty.
