Voodoo Gold is a silkscreen print created by contemporary art studio, R-W Studio – the brains behind album artwork for the likes of Liam Gallagher, Crystal Fighters and Biffy Clyro.
The piece is a simple-yet-powerful homage to the musical legend, Jimi Hendrix, and to one of his most infamous tracks, Voodoo Child.
Speaking of why he chose to focus on the plectrum, the artist commented: ‘I liked the idea that although the plectrum felt like such a small, inanimate object, it could still instantly transport you to a chosen moment and synonymous time in music history.’
