Since his career began in the 1950s, Sir Peter Blake has been prolific, creating paintings, collage, typography and more inspired by his fascination with popular culture. Blake’s impact on the face of contemporary art is so significant, he is now known as the ‘Godfather of Pop Art.’ 

This piece is from Blake's 2013 Wooden Puzzle series, featuring artworks crafted from the artist's extensive collection of objects and printed ephemera. 

Wooden Puzzle Series: Friendship features wooden puzzle blocks, a gemstone union flag, a Russian postcard of a saint, a palmistry chart and poetry plaque.

This silkscreen print with glitter, embossing, collaged elements and glazes is from a limited edition of 100, signed and numbered by the artist.
