Euan Roberts is a Hastings-based artist known for artworks defined by simplicity, colour and a repeat cast of animal characters used as a mirror to teach us about our humanity.

One character that Roberts returns to time and again is his bear, and this time, it is enjoying a spot of yoga. Roberts explains:

“I use the bear to explore ideas around Zen Buddhism and Daoist traditions, where people transcend their egos to become pure zen. Bear is always just completely in the moment, doing its thing.”
