Brands International - Gucci

Justine Smith is a London-based artist who produces collages, prints and sculptures which explore the concept of money and how it touches almost every aspect of our lives in a political, moral and social sense.  

This piece is from Smith’s Luxury Brands International series. In this piece, Smith reinterprets the Gucci logo with Chinese Yuan. Speaking of the series, Smith states:

“Luxury brands often strongly align themselves with art and the art world as part of their marketing strategies, so as an artist it was interesting to subvert that a little and play with the brands in my own work.”

This giclée print is from a limited edition of 30, signed and numbered by the artist.
