"Before they knocked it down to build the new, impressive Floral Pavilion in New Brighton, I asked Ken Dodd if I could cover his farewell concert for posterity. 'Of course young man' came the reply. This image was taken in the wings of the grand old Floral, with Doddy sneaking a view of fellow comedian Norman Collier doing his act on stage."
