The Quest for Irma Series is a signed, limited edition set if five silkscreen prints with glazes by renowned British artist Tom Phillips.
The series features five prints, each reproduced from Phillipsâ iconic 1973 gouache works. These images are linked to Phillips' 1969 opera Irma, where the eponymous heroine embodies the ideal woman in the hero Grenvilleâs quest. The inspiration for Irma also draws from Phillips' long-running project A Humument, which has been evolving since 1966, based on W.H. Mallock's 1892 Victorian novel A Human Document.
